Looking for any help regarding this as I would like to finish some work, thanks. The issue seems to be consistent with running FL. I know it is not a hardware issue because all of my other high-load applications run smoothly and never crash like FL does. I tried uninstalling any drivers, including the stock sound card driver, that may be interfering, but to no avail. This would not be an issue if the stock ASIO did not crackle and pop like it does.
My assumption is that it is most likely an issue with ASIO4ALL, FL studio's main audio driver.
The first time this happened, however, I did receive a BSoD with the code: "CRITICAL_PROCCESS_DIED." Since then, I have checked the minidump and no new files have been created. But it disables all other computer sounds like internet if i open Fruity Loops as a Youtube Vid is playing for example, FL will just crash and I have to force quit it. After the crash it takes a couple tries in order to get it to boot into windows. Kills all crackling/underuns and reduces buffer size very significantly. The crash does not give me a BSoD, but rather shuts off my computer with no warning. This used to be an issue that would rarely happen under high load, but now it is just continuous. Can anyone please tell me what happened? I'm very confused.I own a Lenovo t520 with an i5 and 8gb of ram running Windows 10 and I am running into an issue with FL Studio in particular causing my computer to crash. I don't know what I have done and Cakewalk didn't response again - FL ASIO stopped working. OK, so I reinstalled FL Studio, which could give me a brand new FL ASIO. And when I changed FL's device from FL ASIO to DirectSound, it could work properly. True, FL Studio also couldn't work properly.
So I launched FL Studio to see if FL ASIO had broken. I restarted my laptop, but the problem remained. Any projects opened in this Cakewalk gave 6th track white color. If youre not getting audio playback from Pro. Additionally, this problem is not linked to project file. ASIO4ALL should automatically detect your computers built-in sound card or compatible ASIO based audio interface. Even relaunching the Cakewalk didn't help.
